DRDO Successfully test fires Made -in-India potable anti task missile.

The defence research and development organisation on Tuesday conducted successful test-firing of the indigenously develop Man-Portable Anti Tank Guided Missile (MP-ATGM). The test took place at a field firing range located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, DRDO officials said. The MP-ATGM is a portable, shoulder-launched missile system designed to neutralize enemy tanks and armored vehicles.

Airports Authority and Rajasthan Govt Sign MoU for New Greenfield Airport in Kota.

AAI, Urban Development, Rajasthan government, and Civil Aviation Dept. signed an MoU for Kota Greenfield Airport. Rajasthan provides land; AAI manages construction on 440.086 hectares. NOC and a two-year operational goal are set.

MP, Rajasthan, and GoI Sign MoU on Modified PKC-ERCP Link Project.

It is another feather in the cap for Government of India in water management sector in the country, especially for the interlinking of rivers (ILR) program and also a momentous occasion for the people of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh (MP), as an MoU was signed by both these states with Ministry of Jal Shakti (MoJS), Govt. of India (GoI) today at New Delhi for implementation of the “Modified PKC-ERCP” (integration of original PKC with Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project of Rajasthan), which is the second project under the national perspective plan of interlinking of rivers (ILR) program of Government of India.

GST rate rationalisation panel reconstituted with Bihar Deputy CM Chaudhary as convenor.

The GST Council on Friday made public that Group of Ministers to give recommendation on rate rationalisation has been reconstituted with Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Chaudhary as new convenor. Chaudhary will replace Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh Suresh Khanna. The office memorandum, dated February 27 but posted the Council website now, says other members of the reconstituted panel are Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, Goa Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho, Rajasthan Medical, and Health Services Minister Gajendra Singh. It also includes West Bengal Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya, Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, and Kerala Finance Minister K N Balagopal.

         Chaudhary will replace Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh Suresh Khanna.

          Out of seven members GoM, four are from NDA and three from opposition-ruled States.

IFC commits $105 million in Brookfield’s 500 MW solar project.

To be located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, the project is currently being developed by Brookfield Asset Management. The funding will involve long-term non-convertible debentures allocated to the special purpose vehicles which will be responsible for executing the project. The project will be integrated to the inter-state transmission system of India’s green energy corridor. Brookfield will supply solar power to commercial and industrial consumers at competitive rates through long-term power purchase agreements and also participate in merchant markets through power exchanges. Through collaboration with Brookfield, IFC seeks to promote the widespread adoption of clean energy by proving the feasibility of large-scale renewable energy generation and its distribution to corporate and industrial clients throughout India via the interstate transmission network.

         The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has committed to invest $105 million to partially finance a 550 MW solar power project.

The newly identified 'green lynx spider' spider species, found in Rajasthan’s Tal Chhapar Wildlife Sanctuary, has been named Peucetia chhaparajnirvin. The nocturnal spider, blending with the Vachellia nilotica (babul) tree leaves due to its green hue, preys on small insects and serves as a vital predator in controlling pest populations, and maintaining ecological balance. The climatic conditions of the sanctuary, characterised by extreme temperatures, underscore the spider’s adaptability. Lynx spiders are a family of active hunting spiders (Oxyopidae) that typically don't build webs.

Short-term courses with industry-recognized certificates will be offered through the Skill India Digital Hub platform as part of this strategic cooperation.
