Haryana Cabinet Approves IT Saksham Yuva Scheme for 5,000 Jobs.

The scheme has been designed in accordance with the ‘Mission 60,000’ announced while presenting the 2024-25 budget proposals aiming to give employment to at least 60,000 young individuals from poor families. The Haryana Cabinet on Friday gave nod to launch the IT Saksham Yuva Scheme, 2024, the target of which is to give jobs to 5,000 youths in the first phase.

         The IT Saksham Yuva Scheme is part of a broader plan to enhance employment opportunities for underprivileged youth.

          The scheme aims to support young individuals from poor families with job placements in the IT sector.

Anandana, The Coca-Cola India Foundation, announces its first ever partnership with Hockey India, for the National Women's Hockey League 2024-25. The 1st Phase of the tournament commenced on 30th April, and it will conclude on 9thMay 2024, in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The National Women's Hockey League features teams that secured top-eight positions in Pune's recently concluded 14thHockey India Senior Women National Championship 2024. The participating athletes represent various states, including Haryana, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bengal, Mizoram, Manipur, and Odisha.

Former Indian wrestler Narsingh Pancham Yadav was elected the Chairman of the 7 member Athletes' Commission of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).

Former Indian wrestler Narsingh Pancham Yadav was elected the Chairman of the 7 member Athletes' Commission of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). With Narsingh Yadav's election to this post, the process mandated by the world governing body of sports was completed. A total of eight contenders were in the race for the election of seven seats in the commission. After voting, seven members were elected. Apart from Narsingh Yadav, other members elected to the Athletes Commission are as follows: Sahil (Delhi), Smita A S (Kerala), Bhartiya Bhaghei (Uttar Pradesh), Khushboo S Pawar (Gujarat), Nikki (Haryana), Shweta Dubey (Bengal). Narsingh Yadav, a former Commonwealth Games gold medalist, came into the limelight before the 2016 Olympic Games.

         The UWW is the international governing body for wrestling. It monitors wrestling at the Olympics and World Championships.

          Narsingh Pancham Yadav is an Indian wrestler.

          At the 2010 Commonwealth Games, he won the gold medal in the men's freestyle 74 kg category.

The US-India Tax Forum, an US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) initiative, has appointed Tarun Bajaj, the former Revenue Secretary and Secretary of Economic Affairs to the Government of India, as the new Chair of the Forum. Joined USISPF as an advisor to the Board of Directors in January 2024 his appointment is a testament to his significant experience and expertise in economic affairs and taxation matters. During his tenure with the Indian government, he managed both the direct and indirect tax revenues for the government by working towards shaping fiscal policies and promoting economic growth. He was also instrumental in stabilising the Goods and Services Tax (GST). He is an 1988 batch IAS of Haryana Cadre who later played a critical role in formulating the Indian government’s economic response to the pandemic.

NCDFI has also elected 8 directors on its board unopposed. 8 directors on the Board unopposed which include, Dr Meenesh Shah, Jharkhand Milk Federation; Dr. Mangal Jit Rai, Sikkim Milk Union; Shamalbhai B. Patel, Gujarat Milk Federation; Randhir Singh, Haryana Milk Federation; K. S Mani, KeralaMilk Federation; Balachandra L. Jarakiholi, Karnataka Milk Federation; Narinder Singh Shergill, Punjab Milk Federation and Sameer Kumar Parida, West Assam Milk Union. Apart from these elected directors, Shri S. Regupathi, Executive Director, NDDB is the nominated director on the Board of NCDFI. Dr. Meenesh Shah has long been acknowledged for his pivotal role and substantial contributions to the dairy cooperative sector, fostering growth and sustainability over the years.
